GWB says the Union is strong, then proceeds to use "terror" innumerable times, his sacrosanct 9/11 references, and that he ought to spy on you. Are you skeered yet?
I could probably add a lot more, but I think you ought to. Comment button is for use not decoration.

For starters take a look at http://factcheck.org/ "Misstament of the Union" for what GEB didn't say.
Add in this on the energy initiative.
GWB: "I announce the Advanced Energy Initiative - a 22-percent increase in clean-energy research at the Department of Energy, to push for breakthroughs in two vital areas."
http://marketplace.publicradio.org/, Thursday February 2, 2006:
"Earlier this week, the president made a new call for renewable energy during his State of the Union address. That's probably news to employees of the National Energy Laboratory near Denver. The lab's budget has been cut nearly 15% this year. And starting in the next couple of weeks, about 40 staff will be laid off. Wind power and ethanol fuel projects are taking the brunt of the cuts. Just so happens, those are two of the technologies the president said could reduce the nation's reliance on oil."
A slight discrepancy between the State of the Union and reality.
The Energy Department "will begin laying off researchers at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory in ghe next week or two because of cuts to its budget." The cuts will "be concentrated among rearchers in wind and biomass, which includes ethanol," all technologies touted by President Bush on Tuesday.
